ADAM BERTOCCI

"I kind of promised everyone that our next movie would be a porno."

CO-FOUNDER

Award-winning filmmaker Adam Bertocci is an alumnus of the radio-television-film department at Northwestern University - School of Communication. A screenwriter at heart, he has worked in all departments of production on everything from shorts to features to documentaries to TV series. This variety extends to his own work as well: there is no such thing as a "typical Adam Bertocci movie", although strong connective tissue permeates the collection thus far.

Very much at home in front of a computer, Adam enjoys editing, graphics and other post-production duties and deems himself incompetent with cameras and lights. Artistically, his tastes lean toward dialogue-heavy humor. He dabbles in animation and documentary forms and in general enjoys playing around with how to tell a story through time-based media.

His work on non-GIHB projects has put him alongside several high-profile names in entertainment:
• Actors Mickey Rooney, Will Smith, Winona Ryder, Hilary Duff, Haylie Duff, Warren Beatty, Jeff Goldblum, Eva Mendes, Jessica Alba, Paul Rudd, Famke Janssen, Lacey Chabert, Jeremy Piven, Hayden Panettiere, Mamie Gummer, Christy Carlson Romano, Dave Prowse (Star Wars), Raquel Castro (Jersey Girl), Justina Machado (A.I., "Six Feet Under"), Peter Dinklage (The Station Agent)
• Directors Andy Tennant (Sweet Home Alabama), Albert Maysles (Gimme Shelter), David Wain (Wet Hot American Summer)
• Producers Frederick Zollo (Mississippi Burning, Quiz Show, Ghosts of Mississippi) and Nicholas Paleologos (Ghosts of Mississippi)
• Musicians Moby, Paula Abdul, Lucia Cifarelli (KMFDM)
• Model Sophie Dahl
• Writers Candace Bushnell (Sex and the City), Cindy Adams (New York Post)
• Miscellaneous personalities Hugh Hefner, Evel Knievel
• Very nice person Adam Bertocci… what?

Adam supports writer's rights, digital video and the microcinema movement. Adam dislikes auteur theory, pretention, unprofessionality and people who don't show up to the shoot on time.
