Darren graciously agreed to voice Palpatine for Run Leia Run… while in the midst of directing his own film, Beach Patrol. Yes, Darren is an accomplished filmmaker in his own right. His moviemaking groups Backyard Productions and Lukesfilm are very much in the spirit of Guy in his Basement Productions. They have created The Empire Strikes Backyard (where Darren plays Palpatine), Doom Raiders and Beach Patrol, among other works.
