A graduate of Northwestern University's theater program, Carolyn's past works include a workshop of "The Oedipus Complex" with Oscar- and Tony-winner Frank Galati, and a spot in the world premiere cast of "The Peckenpaw". Chosen to play the narrator of Love: The Movie after a series of recasts, rewrites and regenderings, Carolyn left an impression on all involved, and a couple of years later, the project The World of the End was conceived, written and directed specifically as a starring vehicle for her, the first time this has happened in GIHB history. She reprised the role (another GIHB first) for Madison's Résumé. Over the course of five films, she has become one of the most recognizable and luminous stars in the GIHB stable of, well, stars. This culminated in an all-out all-Carolyn vehicle, James K. Polk Was @#?!ing Awesome, a more-or-less one-woman show garnering her a Best Actress nomination from the Houston Comedy Film Festival. Carolyn is also talented with the pen, having served as head writer, performer and director with the Odonata Dance Project. Her piece "Aspiration: Housewife", premiering at the 2006 NYC Fringe Festival, has been featured in Time Out New York and MOSAIC. |
