A graduate of Northwestern University's theater program, Carolyn's past works include a workshop of "The Oedipus Complex" with Oscar- and Tony-winner Frank Galati, and a spot in the world premiere cast of "The Peckenpaw".

Chosen to play the narrator of Love: The Movie after a series of recasts, rewrites and regenderings, Carolyn left an impression on all involved, and a couple of years later, the project The World of the End was conceived, written and directed specifically as a starring vehicle for her, the first time this has happened in GIHB history. She reprised the role (another GIHB first) for Madison's Résumé.
