The Montauk Project is vast and complex. Here is my simplified version to start, so you can grasp what I am about to set out and explore…
THE PHILADELPHIA EXPERIMENT Before there was the Montauk Project there was… The Philadelphia Experiment! A top-secret project that set out to primarily achieve radar invisibility. The host of the experiment was on board the U.S.S. Eldridge. On August 8th, 1943 the experiment went active. The U.S.S. Eldridge went invisible for a few minutes. Unfortunately, members of the crew suffered great side effects that resulted in random screams and disappearing. Yes, disappearing. Some disappeared and never returned!
THE PHOENIX PROJECT The Phoenix Project was what the Montauk project started out as. It was an experiment on Weather modifications and grew out of what remained of the Philadelphia Experiment. Having continued to work on stealth technology and evolving into working on experiments in mind control, the Phoenix project was eventually shut down. With Congress fearing the technology breakthroughs that were discovered, they cut off the projects funding. The members of The Phoenix Project then turned to the military for aide. Since weapons technology was an interest to the military, they sent personnel and equipment to continue the project in Montauk. Thus The Phoenix Project evolves into…
THE MONTAUK PROJECT Montauk Point/Montauk Air Force base was chosen as the location to continue Phoenix’s work due to its isolation. It would be very easy location to cover up their experiments. Also, it’s worth noting that the Air Force base already had a SAGE radar system in place, which was vital to the experiment. The land was also known to have a vast electromagnetic field, which certainly came in handy. The military provided manpower and equipment, but it did not provide funding since Congress had officially ended the project. The funding of the project remains one of many mysteries. Speculation… is that it was funded by Nazi Gold that had been smuggled and buried in Montauk!!
THE EXPERIMENTS Mind control, Time Travel, Portals to an alien world. You name it, and the Montauk Project claimed it! One of the most interesting projects was “The Montauk Chair”, a mind reading device created with mysterious technology. From an alien race perhaps? Psychics, were used for this experiment, due to their ability to harness more power of their mind, the chair would manipulate their thought amplification so high that a portal could be created… TIME TRAVEL!
THE MONTAUK PROJECT MEETS THE PHILADELPHIA EXPERIMENT On August 8th, 1983 The Montauk Project connected exactly 40 years into the past to The Philadelphia Experiment when it went active on August 8th, 1943. They were connected by hyperspace. Could this have something to do with the strange side effects the crew of the U.S.S. Eldridge experienced??????? Objects were known to randomly appear when the portals were created. One of these “objects” was a ferocious beast created by a subjects mind. It is rumored to have killed everyone on site at the experiment and is believed to possibly roam the area to this day.
THE MONTAUK TRIBE AND MONTAUK POINT Long before the Montauk Project, The Montauk tribe occupied the land. They were highly spirited in nature and believed the land to be as well. It is interesting to note: that Montauk Point is indeed a highly electro-magnetic field. Perhaps this element led to The Montauk feeling this way? The Montauk tribe got a raw deal and many were starved out on their land. There are numerous ghost sightings of Indians throughout the area as well. Could they still be trying to take back their rightful land?
CAMP HERO TODAY Is a public park. Yet, areas near the sage radar are off limits, and there are numerous reports of “civilian dressed” officials flipping out on people in the park who are snooping around. These people are usually seen with a police officer, why? It’s a public state park!
